Centered around two iconic lakes, Woodbridge is one of Irvine's most recognizable neighborhoods — blending resort-style amenities, mature tree-lined streets, and a true sense of community that's difficult to find elsewhere in Orange County.
Woodbridge is a large suburban community in Irvine that spans about 2.65 square miles. It features a well-established residential layout with strong access to schools, parks, and everyday amenities. The neighborhood is served by four elementary schools, two middle schools—Lakeside and South Lake—and Woodbridge High School.
Most of the housing in Woodbridge was completed by the mid-1990s, with a later addition in 2013 when a new tract called The Branches introduced 48 new homes after a 15-year gap in development. The community is bordered on the south by the I-405 freeway and stretches from Irvine Center Drive to the freeway, making it centrally located within the city and convenient for commuters.
Woodbridge is known for its accessibility, proximity to shopping and schools, and abundant outdoor spaces. It appeals to residents who value a balanced lifestyle with easy freeway access, recreational opportunities, and a strong community feel.
